Porsche 911 GT3 RS with Manthey Kit by ‘Sonderwunsch’

Motorsport Meets Art

Welcome to our latest project designed in collaboration with James Serafino, the team at Porsche’s Sonderwunsch factory commissioning team, and Manthey Racing.

The Vision

In early 2024, we were commissioned by James to provide creative direction for a highly exclusive allocation: a Porsche 911 (992) GT3 RS, featuring both Paint to Sample and Sonderwunsch designations.

The design process commenced with a broad exploration of colorways to establish a cohesive theme. We ultimately leaned directly into Porsche heritage, drawing inspiration from the iconic 959 Gruppe B concept. This led us to pursue a pearl white metallic exterior to act as a canvas for a striking green or red accent theme that began to develop.

The Final Commission

Following an in-person consultation with the Sonderwunsch team to get eyes on the proposed materials, and an instrumental visit by James to the Mathey Racing headquarters in Meuspath, Germany, the final design was defined locked in.

Finished in Paint to Sample Geyser Grey Metallic over a bespoke two-tone Bordeaux and Creme leather interior, this build pushes the absolute limits of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. In a unique twist, it seamlessly integrates the Manthey Kit directly into the personalization process- representing the first instance of a collaboration between Manthey Racing and Sonderwunsch.

Exterior highlights include the front apron, side air intakes, roof strakes, and wheels with colored crests all finished in exterior color. The front dive planes and roof strakes as apart of the Manthey kit are also finished in exterior color. The factory exposed carbon fiber is finished with a deep wine-red tint, a treatment also featured across the carbon fiber Manthey aerodynamic components.

A heritage-inspired livery in Geyser Grey Metallic completes the exterior, featuring the Manthey logos and a classic ‘32’ starting number on the shark fin. Tying it all together is a satin red ‘Sonderwunsch’ door motif and rear ‘GT3 RS’ model designation, complementing the anodized red metal engine latches and DRS actuators.

Inside, the cabin features a unique two-tone split in Bordeaux and Creme leather, elevated by leather trim and Black/White/Red classic pattern seat inserts. The ‘Sonderwunsch’ signature continues with bespoke Bordeaux stitching on the headrests. Every single detail and material was meticulously selected to achieve perfect harmony with the exterior aesthetic.

This build proves exactly what happens when you refuse to compromise on a specification. We are incredibly proud to have partnered with James, Porsche, and Manthey Racing to push the boundaries of Exclusive Manufaktur and bring this historic commission from render to reality.
