Our Story

Carrara Design was never a business plan- it was the natural evolution of an obsession for Porsches and driving. The journey began in 2010 when, at just 12 years old, founder Anthony DiGiovanni started photoshopping Porsche spy shots to remove their camouflage and envision future model designs. Early work quickly gained traction, getting featured on sites like Autoblog and Jalopnik. When Top Gear Magazine wrote the aspiring designer’s first check for a fantasy Gulf livery 918 RSR render he posted online, it marked a pivotal moment where this passion felt like it may be a potential career path.

That early success quickly led to real commissions. Anthony continued his passion for rendering Porsche’s, eventually posting some Paint-To-Sample renderings of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 after its debut. This led to his first consultation and Carrara Design project 001, a Maritime Blue Paint to Sample Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0.

Designed by Enthusiasts

The business officially materialized in 2015. The founder, a car enthusiast at heart, had spent the majority of his time and money between high school and working at a local bakery on building, tracking, and autocrossing his ‘92 Miata, with occasional design and rendering still as a hobby. In August of that year, a livery design concept created with a friend was chosen for a wrap design contest for a Lamborghini Aventador SV and went on to win Best of Show awards at two major events. This exposure quickly led to other clients within the exotic car world.

By 2017, Carrara Design was a full-time gig, working with clients from around the world to help them design everything from custom liveries for exotic car rallies to specifications for top marques like Pagani and Koenigsegg. We quickly became the go-to design house for many Porsche customers, assisting with bespoke programs like Sonderwunsch, including the first Porsche Carrera GT factory recommission.

Our deep-dive into the enthusiast world combined with a passion for driving connected us with rising racing talent, eventually leading to opportunities to design championship-winning liveries for drivers and teams at the top levels in series like Porsche’s Carrera Cup and IMSA’s Weathertech Sportscar Series.

Today, Carrara Design comprises of a small team of enthusiasts based just outside of Philadelphia, PA. Our core difference is that we are not just designers, but true enthusiasts and drivers at heart. Our work, from hypercar specifications to championship-winning liveries, allows us to thrive as artists and collaborate with people who share our passion.
