What does a project cost?
Carrara Design projects start at 2500 USD. We can provide you with a quote specific to your build after our initial consultation. It is worth noting that we design with your total build budget in mind, aiming for our design fee to be a strategic investment that optimizes your build costs. For example, we can help you to not cross over a certain price threshold in Sonderwunsch requests, or advise on techniques to dramatically reduce costs for your livery install.
How long does a Carrara Design project typically take?
After our consultation, we can establish a timeline with you reflective of your project’s requirements. Depending on complexity, you can typically expect the first set of designs within 5-7 business days of initial point of contact. The revision phase can take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks, with this duration being highly dependent on client responsiveness and the complexity of the revisions requested.
What if my dealer needs my spec tomorrow?
We take on a small number of clients at a time so we can work at our own creative pace. Depending on your project’s complexity, however, we may be able to help you out in a pinch for an additional fee.
What if I need more than three rounds of revisions?
Our process includes three dedicated rounds of revisions, however as creatives we understand that ‘final’ is a word to use loosely, let alone title a file. We are usually happy to help tidy up any small last minute tweaks, while larger scope revision rounds can be purchased as neccessary.
What file types do I receive for a Specification or Recommission Design?
We provide our designs in an optimized and easy to share .pdf format that you can review with your dealer, builder, factory, and even friends and family. The final iteration of your .pdf design file will include the high resolution renderings mapped with handwritten notes calling out each special request to assure nothing is missed at the dealer, factory, or builder level.
What file types do I receive for a Livery or Stripe Design?
You will receive the final, approved design as a fully vectorized digital file (.ai, .eps, or .pdf) scaled to the exact vehicle template. This file is ready for your chosen installer, along with a detailed install guide with handwritten notes, vinyl recommendations, and the final high-resolution renderings.
Do you handle the final vinyl wrapping/installation?
Carrara Design is a design house and does not handle the physical installation. We focus exclusively on the design and visualization phase, providing your chosen wrap shop or factory with the print-ready files they require and a detailed installation guide. We are happy to collaborate with your installers remotely to assure the design is executed properly.
